Are you a Men's Cat 2 rider who wants to race the Men's Pro Twilight Criterium this year?! Well, you can...if you are one of the first 8 people to sign up.

So, how do you qualify? The first 8 Cat 2 riders to sign up MUST race the Wahoo On the Stage Races presented by TrainingPeaks on FRIDAY, APRIL 25, at 5:40pm, if you would like to be invited to the Men's Pro Twilight on Saturday night.

Each year during the last weekend in April, downtown Athens transforms into a frenetic celebration of athleticism and enthrallment. Born as the first nighttime criterium in the United States in nearly a century, Twilight revolutionized cycling events and earned its place as the largest and most prestigious city-center race in the U.S. Spectators line the historic streets, their cheers echoing through the day and night as world-class cyclists race past in electrifying displays of speed, strategy, and spirit.

Behind the fencing, Athenian businesses radiate an incomparable energy, benefitting from the influx of visitors drawn by the race’s reputation as a premier, unmatched international event. Beyond the weekend, Twilight’s commitment to helping better the community and planet shines through by partnering with a number of local Athens non-profits and environmentally conscious missions through event proceeds and increased awareness. But the heart of Twilight beats strongest in its connection to the city itself—a city built through creativity, tradition, and the endless pursuit of exhilaration.

Over the years, Twilight has evolved, always finding new ways to captivate, engage, and give back. Additions like the Twilight 5K, the $10K 1 Mile Race, and the Gambler bike ride have expanded its appeal, inviting athletes and enthusiasts of all levels to join the excitement. From kid-friendly activities to live music, food vendors, and an open container festival zone, the event has become a multifaceted celebration that welcomes everyone, embodying the inclusive and innovative spirit of Athens.

But Twilight’s legacy is more than the race itself–it’s about the moments that define it. It’s the first-time visitor stumbling upon their next favorite Athens tradition, the family memories forged behind the fencing, the volunteers working together to create an unforgettable event, the young athletes inspired to chase their dreams, the hometown teams beating the odds to take the win, and the celebration of a town that knows how to throw a party like no other. Through its commitment to wellness, sustainability, and the thrill of a good race, Twilight continues to inspire generations to embrace active lifestyles and cherish the power of community.

As the Athens Orthopedic Clinic Twilight Criterium presented by St. Mary’s Health Care System takes another lap, it remains steadfast in its mission to unite people through whirlwind speed, nonstop action, and the inimitable fun of celebration. With its history and prestige as a foundation and an unwavering dedication to innovation, Twilight is poised to shine even brighter over the next 45 years.|

Whether you are a cycling enthusiast, a local resident, or a first-time visitor, the Twilight experience invites you to be part of something extraordinary. A tradition where the thrill of racing and the heartbeat of a community never slows down.
