Saturday morning racing returns to Athens' in-town neighborhoods with this challenging course located on the Oconee River Greenway. Riders can qualify at the Saturday morning races for the finals Saturday night at the Terrapin Twilight Criterium!
The Oconee River Greenway Circuit is a 1.3 mile, four-corner circuit with two long straights that encircles the Greenway Park between East Broad Street and North Avenue. It is fast with an open uphill sprint finish to the Greenway Overlook on smooth pavement. It's a great venue on the outskirts of downtown and is close to the all daytime Athens Twilight festivities.
The Amateur Finals is the kick-off for Saturday night's downtown feature events. The top finishers from the Twilight AM qualifying races will take to the streets Saturday night and compete for $2,000 in cash and prizes.
